ABSTRACT This invention relates to a method for storing a composition comprising a streptavidin-coupled liposome comprising the steps of (a) dehydrating the composition to obtain a dehydrated composition; and (b) rehydrating the dehydrated composition. The composition may be dehydrated in the presence of a protective sugar such as a disaccharide sugar, for example trehalose, maltose, sucrose, glucose, lactose or dextran. The composition may contain a bioactive agent such as an antineoplastic agent, for example daunorubicin, doxorubicin, vinblastine, cisplatinum or cyclophosphamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a derivative thereof.
