COMPOSITION FOR THE SURFACE TREATMENT OF RUBBER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composition for the surface treatment of rubber is disclosed which comprises (A) a diorganopolysiloxane capped with a triorganosiloxy group at one end and a hydroxyl or alkoxy group at the other end; (B) at least one compound selected from organotrialkoxysilanes, organotriacyloxysilanes, organotrioximesilanes or tetraalkyl silicates; and (C) a condensation-reaction catalyst. The composition imparts durable release and lubrication properties to rubber bladders used in the manufacture of tires.
