The invention relates to a composition for transdermal delivery, particularly iontophoretic transdermal delivery, of at least one cationic active agent or a salt thereof, said composition comprising said at least one cationic active agent or a salt thereof, at least one polyamine or/and polyamine salt, water or an aqueous solvent mixture, and optionally one or more additives. The invention further relates to the use of said composition as a component of a transdermal patch or of an iontophoretic transdermal patch, and to the use of said composition in a method for transdermally or iontophoretically administering cationic active agents, and to a method for determining the in vitro skin permeation properties of an active agent-containing iontophoretic composition.

L'invention concerne une composition destinée à administrer de façon transdermique, notamment de façon iontophorétique, au moins un principe actif cationique ou un sel de celui-ci, cette composition contenant au moins un principe actif cationique ou un de ses sels, au moins une polyamine ou/et un sel de polyamine, de l'eau ou un mélange de solvants aqueux, et éventuellement un ou plusieurs additifs. L'invention concerne, en outre, l'utilisation de cette composition en tant que composant d'un timbre transdermique ou d'un timbre transdermique iontophorétique, ainsi que l'utilisation de cette composition dans un procédé d'administration transdermique ou iontophorétique de principes actifs cationiques. L'invention concerne enfin un procédé destiné à déterminer les propriétés de perméabilité de la peau in vitro d'un principe actif contenant une composition iontophorétique.
