An aqueous wood-injectable particulate-based wood preservative comprising: 1) dispersants in an amount sufficient to maintain biocidal particles in a stable slurry; 2) injectable sub-micron biocidal particles comprising a solid phase of at least one of a sparingly soluble organic biocide, a sparingly soluble copper salt, copper(I)oxide, a sparingly soluble zinc salt, zinc oxide; a sparingly soluble nickel salt; and a sparingly soluble tin salt, wherein less than 2% by weight of the biocidal particles have an average diameter greater than 1 micron, and at least 20% by weight of the biocidal particles have an average diameter greater than 0.08 microns; and 3) at least one pigment particle or dye in an amount sufficient to impart a discernable color or hue to the wood, when compared to wood treated with the same particulate system but without the pigment.
L'invention concerne un agent de préservation du bois particulaire aqueux injectable dans le bois, qui comprend : 1) des dispersants en quantité suffisante pour maintenir les particules biocides en suspension épaisse stable ; 2) des particules biocides injectables inférieures au micron ayant une phase solide d'au moins : biocide organique à solubilité modérée, sel de cuivre à solubilité modérée, oxyde de cuivre (I), sel de zinc à solubilité modérée, oxyde de zinc ; sel de nickel à solubilité modérée ; et sel d'étain à solubilité modérée, sachant que moins de 2 %, en poids, des particules biocides ont un diamètre moyen supérieur à 1 micron, et qu'au moins 20 %, en poids, des particules biocides ont un diamètre moyen supérieur à 0,08 micron; et 3) au moins un pigment ou colorant en quantité suffisante pour donner un couleur ou teinte discernable au bois, par rapport à un bois traité avec le même système particulaire mais sans le pigment.
