Co-administration of cisplatin with a pharmaceutically acceptable form of 2,2'- dithio-bis(ethanesulfonate) reduces the nephrotoxicity and myelosuppression of cisplatin and potentiates its anti-tumor action. Preferably the cisplatin and sulfonate are formulated as a composition, especially a sterile injectable solution containing chloride ions and sodium and hydrogen cations.
L'administration conjointe du cisplatine et d'une forme acceptable sur le plan pharmacologique de 2,2'-dithio-bis(éthanesulfonate) permet de réduire la toxicité rénale du cisplatine ainsi que l'aplasie médullaire provoquée par celui-ci, et d'accroître l'action du cisplatine contre les tumeurs. De préférence, le cisplatine et le sulfonate sont formulés en tant que composition, notamment sous forme d'une solution stérile injectable contenant des ions de chlorure ainsi que des cations de sodium et d'hydrogène.
