The present invention provides feeds, and methods of providing feeds to turkeys, that can cause turkey hens to maintain the rate of egg production when exposed to adverse conditions. Generally, the method includes providing a feed to a flock of turkey breeder hens during a production cycle, wherein the feed includes a metabolic energy of a specified amount, for instance, 1330 ~3% kcal per pound, and total protein of a specified amount, for instance, at least 16.1% (wt/wt).
