A composition for disinfecting a contact lens comprising an effective disinfecting amount of hydrogen peroxide and a surfactant comprising a copolymer of hydrophobe and hydrophile blocks the structure: HO - (hydrophobe)x - (hydrophile)y - (hydrophobe)x or HO - (hydrophile)y - (hydrophobe)x - (hydrophile)y - H where x and y are integers reflecting the respective hydrophile and hydrophobe blocks of said copolymer; and the hydrophile component of the block copolymer constitutes less than 50 weight percent of the block copolymer. The block copolymer has a Ross-Miles foam height (ASTM designation D-1173-53; 0.1%, at 50~C) of less than 1mm.
L'invention concerne une composition servant à désinfecter un verre de contact et renfermant une quantité désinfectante efficace de péroxyde d'hydrogène et un agent de surface contenant un copolymère de séquences hydrophobes et hydrophiles de la structure HO - (hydrophobe)¿x? - (hydrophile)¿y? - (hydrophobe)¿x? ou HO - (hydrophile)¿y? - (hydrophobe)¿x? - (hydrophile)¿y? H. Dans ladite structure, x et y sont des entiers qui représentent les séquences hydrophobes et hydrophiles dudit copolymère, et le composé hydrophile du copolymère séquencé constitue moins de 50 % en poids du copolymère séquencé. Ce dernier présente un pouvoir moussant Ross-Miles (désignation ASTM D-1173-53; 0,1 %, à 50·C) inférieur à 1mm.
