Disclosed are compositions and methods for detecting oral and gastrointestinal cancers in a subject. Autoantigen p90 was shown to be overexpressed in oral cancer cells, and this protein, as well as its companion autoantigen p62 and antibodies directed to both proteins, can be used as markers for detecting oral digestive and other cancers in a subject at an early stage.

L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés pour détecter des cancers buccaux et gastro-intestinaux chez un sujet. Il a été démontré que l'autoantigène p90 était surexprimé dans les cellules de cancers buccaux, et que cette protéine, ainsi que l'autoantigène associé p62 et des anticorps dirigés contre ces deux protéines, pouvaient être utilisés comme marqueurs pour détecter des cancers buccaux, du système digestif et d'autres cancers à un stade précoce chez un sujet.
