GLP-2 stimulates the growth of both small intestine and large intestine tissue when administered in conjunction with other agents. The invention provides pharmaceutical compositions of GLP-2 with at least one other agent that increase the biological activity of GLP-2, methods of enhancing the growth of both small and large intestine tissue and of ameliorating nutritional or gastrointestinal disorders by increasing serum levels of GLP-2 and at least one other agent, and kits for performing the methods of the invention.
