The invention relates to a double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) for inhibiting the expression of the HAMP gene (HAMP gene), comprising an antisense strand having a nucleotide sequence which is less that 30 nucleotides in length, generally 19-25 nucleotides in length, and which is substantially complementary to at least a part of the HAMP gene. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the dsRNA together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier; methods for treating diseases caused by HAMP gene expression and the expression of the HAMP gene using the pharmaceutical composition.
L'invention concerne un acide ribonucléique double brin (ARNdb) servant à inhiber l'expression du gène HAMP (gène HAMP), comprenant un brin antisens ayant une séquence de nucléotides qui a une longueur inférieure à 30 nucléotides, généralement une longueur de 19-25 nucléotides, et lequel est en grande partie complémentaire à au moins une partie du gène HAMP. L'invention concerne également une composition pharmaceutique comprenant l'ARNdb avec un véhicule acceptable du point de vue pharmaceutique; des procédés servant à traiter des maladies provoquées par l'expression du gène HAMP et l'expression du gène HAMP utilisant la composition pharmaceutique.
