A composition is provided for chemoprevention of an oral cancer or precancerous condition, including an isolated berry preparation admixed with a bioadhesive carrier. The carrier may be a mucoadhesive gel. The berry preparation may be derived from one or more of strawberry, raspberry, red raspberry, and black raspberry. Methods for producing the compositions are provided also. There are also provided methods for chemoprevention of an oral cancer or precancerous condition, utilizing the compositions of the invention. Still further, methods for enhancing stability of an anthocyanin contained in the berry preparation of the invention are provided, along with methods for enhancing efficacy of the compositions.
La présente invention concerne une composition pour la chimioprévention d'un cancer ou d'un état précancéreux buccal, cette composition comprenant une préparation à base de baies isolée, mélangée à un excipient bioadhésif. L'excipient peut être un gel mucoadhésif. La préparation à base de baies peut être dérivée d'une ou de plusieurs baies parmi la fraise, la framboise, la framboise rouge et la framboise noire. L'invention concerne en outre des procédés pour produire les compositions, ainsi que des procédés pour la chimioprévention d'un cancer ou d'un état précancéreux buccal, au moyen des compositions de l'invention. En outre, il est également proposé des procédés pour améliorer la stabilité d'une anthocyanine contenue dans la préparation à base de baies de l'invention, ainsi que des procédés pour améliorer l'efficacité des compositions.
