ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A secretin containing composition which contains secre- tin and a basic amino acid having an isoelectric point of 7 or higher, such as arginine, lysine, ornithine, histidine etc., either as a mixture in which both are co-present or as a combi- nation in which both are present separately, and a method for preventing the adsorption of secretin which comprises adding a basic amino acid having an isoelectric point of 7 or higher to a secretin containing aqueous solution.
