Diketo- and pyridine-containing chiral crown ligands having at least two chiral bulky groups attached to two different chiral carbon atoms of the crown that are covalently bonded to or coated on suitable solid supports, and further coated by hydrophobic organic solvents are disclosed. These compositions and associated methods are characterized by selectivity of several target amine or amino acid enantiomers over their counter-enantiomers and derivatives. The composition preferably has an a-value greater than or equal to 4. This allows for the separation of such enantiomers with non- chromatographic resin bed to separations of three separation stages or less.

L'invention concerne des ligands couronnes chiraux contenant dicétone et pyridine, qui présentent au moins deux groupes encombrants chiraux fixés à deux différents atomes de carbone chiraux de la couronne, liés par covalence à des supports solides appropriés ou enduits sur ces derniers et enrobés de solvants organiques hydrophobes. Ces compositions et procédés associés sont caractérisés par la sélectivité de plusieurs énantiomères d'amines ou d'acides aminés cibles vis-à-vis de leurs contre-énantiomères et dérivés. De préférence, cette composition présente une valeur .alpha. supérieure ou égale à 4, ce qui permet de séparer ces énantiomères par des procédés de séparation à lit de résine non chromatographiques à trois étapes de séparation maximum.
