The disclosed nucleic acid primer sets, used in combination with quantitative amplification (PCR) of tissue cDNA, can indicate the presence of specific proteases in a tissue sample. The detected proteases are themselves specifically overexpressed in certain cancers, and the presence of their genetic precursors may serve for early detection of associated ovarian and other malignancies, and for the design of interactive therapies for cancer treatment.

L'invention concerne des ensembles d'amorces d'acides nucléiques qui, utilisés conjointement à l'amplification quantitative (PCR) d'ADNc des tissus, peuvent indiquer la présence de protéases spécifiques dans un échantillon de tissu. Les protéases détectées sont elles-mêmes surexprimées dans certains cancers, et la présence de leurs précurseurs génétiques peut contribuer à un dépistage précoce de malignités ovariennes et autres associées, ainsi qu'à la conception de thérapies interactives destinées au traitement du cancer.
