The present invention is directed to siRNA molecules which specifically target and cause RNAi-induced degradation of mRNA from TPTE genes, so that the protein product of the TPTE gene is not produced or is produced in reduced amounts. The siRNA compounds and compositions of the invention are useful for treating diseases which require inhibition of TPTE expression for their treatment, in particular cancer pathologies. The present invention also includes methods which make possible to assess and/or prognose the metastatic behaviour of a cancer disease and/or the occurrence of a relapse of cancer.
La présente invention concerne des molécules de petits ARN interférents (ARNsi) qui ciblent spécifiquement l'ARNm des gènes TPTE et qui provoquent sa dégradation induite par ARNi, de sorte que le gène TPTE ne produit pas de protéine ou en produit en quantités réduites. Les composés et les compositions d'ARNsi de l'invention sont utilisables pour le traitement des maladies dont le traitement nécessite l'inhibition de l'expression de TPTE, en particulier des pathologies cancéreuses. La présente invention concerne également des procédés qui permettent d'évaluer et/ou de pronostiquer le comportement métastatique d'un cancer et/ou l'occurrence d'une rechute de cancer.
