Compositions for controlling damage to cementitious materials as a result of alkali-silica reactions (ASR) are provided. The compositions include a lithium containing material and a surface active agent. The compositions are capable of effectively delivering lithium into a cementitious material after the composition is applied to a surface thereof. Processes for treating cementitious materials using the compositions are also provided.

On décrit des compositions destinées à limiter l'endommagement de matériaux cimentaires, par suite des réactions alcalis-silices. Ces compositions comprennent un matériau contenant du lithium ainsi qu'un tensioactif et elles peuvent apporter efficacement du lithium dans un matériau cimentaire après leur application sur une surface de celui-ci. On décrit également des procédés de traitement de matériaux cimentaires à l'aide de ces compositions.
