ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Various surfaces are polished by buffing with compositions comprising a foamed polymeric material and a finely divided abrasive material. The abrasive material has a particle size number and a valley abrasion number the product of which falls within a predetermined range sufficient to provide good polishing upon buffing. Such compositions can be fashioned into articles of manufacture which are capable of buffing various surfaces.
