3-15964/+ Novel compositions based on indanthrone blue pigments Abstract of the Disclosure A composition comprising a) an indanthrone blue pigment of formula I Image (I) and b) a sulfonated indanthrone blue derivative of formula II Image (II), wherein X? is H? or a group of the formula Image or N?(R)(R1)(R2)(R3), M is a monovalent, divalent or trivalent metal cation, n is 1, 2 or 3, each of R, R1, R2 and R3 is independently hydrogen, C1-C18alkyl, C5-C6cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by C1-C18alkyl, or R2 and R3, together with the linking nitrogen atom, are a pyrrolidine, imidazolidine, piperidine, piper- azine or morpholine radical, or R1, R2 and R3, together with the linking nitrogen atom, are a pyrrole, pyridine, picoline, pyrazine, quinoline or isoquinoline radical, and m is a value from 0.5 to 2. When used in varnishes, pigment mixtures of this kind are disting- uished in particular by increased colour strength, improved rheology and high gloss.
