Disclosed are compositions comprising at least one substantially random interpolymer of ethylene and a vinylidene aromatic monomer or a hindered aliphatic vinylidene monomer and optionally at least one C3-C20 .alpha.-olefin monomer, and at least one tackifier. The claimed compositions are useful in adhesives, such as are employed in various applications, such as in packaging and carton sealing, bookbinding, masking tape, clear office tape, labels, decals, bandages, decorative and protective sheets (such as shelf and drawer liners), floor tiles, sanitary napkin/incontinence device placement strips, sun control films, and the joining of gaskets to automobile windows. The claimed compositions further find use in a variety of applications, such as sealants, coatings, molded articles, and multilayered structures.
Compositions ayant au moins un copolymère sensiblement statistique à base d'éthylène et au moins un monomère vinylidène aromatique ou vinylidène aliphatique empêché, et facultativement, au moins un monomère d'.alpha.-oléfine C¿3?-C¿20?, et au moins un agent poissant. Ces compositions sont utiles dans les adhésifs, entre autres pour diverses applications telles que: emballage et scellage de boîtes en carton, reliure de livres, ruban-cache, ruban adhésif transparent de bureau, étiquettes, décalques, pansements, feuilles de décoration et de protection (par exemple, revêtement d'étagères et de tiroirs), éléments de carrelage, bandes de placement pour serviettes hygiéniques/systèmes adaptés à l'incontinence, dispositifs de protection contre le soleil et fabrication de joints pour les fenêtres d'automobile. Les compositions sont utilisées dans un certain nombre d'applications, à savoir: matériaux d'étanchéité, revêtements, moulages et structures à couches multiples.
