Compositions comprising a polysaccharide and a hydroxy-functional polyester are prepared by mixing the hydroxy-functional polyester and polysaccharide, modified polysaccharide or a naturally-occurring fiber or particulate filler and, optionally, other additives in an intensive mixer at a temperature and for a time sufficient to provide an intimate, well- dispersed mixture of the components.

Cette invention concerne des compositions contenant un polysaccharide et un polyester à fonction hydroxy, lesquelles compositions sont préparées en mélangeant le polyester à fonction hydroxy et le polysaccharide, un polysaccharide modifié ou une fibre d'origine naturelle ou une matière de charge particulaire, et éventuellement d'autres additifs. Ce mélange se fait dans un mélangeur intensif, à une température et pendant une durée qui permettent d'obtenir un mélange intime et présentant une bonne dispersion des composants.
