ABSTRACT This invention relates to new platinum co-ordination compounds, to pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use in the treatment of malignant tumors or malignant neoplasms. In particular a compound according to the present invention comprises a cis co-ordination compound of platinu, having the structure Image in which X and Y are the same or different ligands selected from sulphate, phosphate, nitrate, carboxylate, substituted carboxylate and water and A and B are the same or different branched chain aliphatic amines co-ordinated to the Pt through their N atoms, such that the platinum is present as Pt2+.
