ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed are fluid compositions comprising a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer, at least about 1% by weight of a volatile component, at least about 0.2% by weight of a surface active agent, and water. The compositions have application as bases for making skin cleansers and as skin cleansers. Also disclosed are methods of cleansing the skin, particularly facial skin.
