12754 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composition for treatment of rusted ferrous articles is in the form of a film-forming aqueous emulsion which is a latex comprised of a copolymer. The copolymer is derived from vinylidene chloride, vinyl chloride and one or more alkyl acrylates and/or alkyl methacrylates. An effective amount of pyrogallol as a chelating agent for iron oxides is also provided.
