The invention relates to a composition for conditioning mud, said composition comprising a mineral compound of calcium hydroxide and an organic compound which is a cationic organic coagulant having an average ponderal molecular weight less than or equal to 5 million g/mol and higher than or equal to 20,000 g/mol, said cationic organic coagulant being selected from the group of linear or branched polymers based on diallyldialkyl ammonium salts.
