The present invention describes novel oligonucleotides targeted to nucleic acid sequences derived from Cryptosporidium organisms, and Cryptosporidium parvum organisms in particular, which are useful for determining the presence of Cryptosporidium organisms in a test sample. The oligonucleotides of the present invention include hybridization assay probes, helper probes and amplification primers. The present invention further describes a novel method for obtaining purified ribonucleic acid from viable oocysts.
La présente invention concerne de nouveaux oligonucléotides ciblant des séquences d'acide nucléique dérivées d'organismes du genre Cryptosporidium, et en particulier de l'espèce Cryptosporidium parvum, ces nouveaux nucléotides permettant de déterminer la présence d'organismes du genre Cryptosporidiumdans un échantillon à analyser. Les oligonucléotides selon la présente invention peuvent constituer des sondes d'essai d'hybridation, des sondes auxiliaires et des amorces d'amplification. L'invention concerne en outre un nouveau procédé permettant d'obtenir de l'acide ribonucléique purifié à partir d'oocystes viables.
