The invention relates to a compound inhibiting the binding of the free light chain of immunoglobulin (Ig LC) to mast cells. It has been found that Ig LC is the agent responsible for the sensitization of mast cells. The compounds according to the invention can thus be used for the preparation of a drug for the treatment of a disease whose symptom is an elevated Ig LC concentration in serum or spinal fluid. The invention also relates to a method of screening a series of compounds on their ability to reduce the sensitization of mast cells.
Cette invention concerne un composé inhibant la liaison aux mastocytes d'une chaîne libre légère de l'immunoglobuline (Ig LC). On a découvert que Ig LC est l'agent responsable de la sensibilisation des mastocytes, ce qui permet d'utiliser les composés de cette invention dans la préparation d'un médicament destiné au traitement d'une maladie dont le symptôme consiste en une concentration élevée de Ig LC dans le sérum ou le liquide céphalo-rachidien spinal. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour examiner une série de composés afin d'établir ceux qui sont capables de réduire la sensibilisation des mastocytes.
