Abstract of the Disclosure The side surfaces of the compound stones are pro- vided with relatively flat joggle elements which in- terlock with little play when said stones are laid out, while adjoining side surfaces of neighboring stones are in contact along two lines only. A com- promise between a sufficient mutual securement of the stones and a certain mutual mobility thereof is thus obtained, in particular a certain tilting of neighbor- ing stones with respect to each other, whereby it is possible to produce uneven places in pavements. (Fig. 2)
