L'invention est relative à une composition à base de polypropylène, homo ou copolymère, et d'un modifiant choc comprenant un copolymère éthylène/acrylate d'alkyle. Cette composition comprend sensiblement entre 1 et 40% en poids de modifiant choc et elle peut comprendre un copolymère à base d'éthylène pris dans le groupe comprenant les copolymères éthylène/ester acrylique, l'acétate de vinyle, le polyéthylène obtenu par catalyse métallocène ou PEm et le polyéthylène linéaire basse densité ou LLDPE. Le PP ainsi modifié est utile pour fabriquer des pièces automobiles de type pare choc ou tableaux de bord, par exemple, nécessitant une bonne résistance thermomécanique sur une large plage de températures.
