Compounds and methods for inducing protective immunity against tuberculosis are disclosed. The com-pounds provided include polypeptides that contain at least one immunogenic portion of one or more M. tuberculo-sis proteins and DNA molecules encoding such polypep-tides. Such compounds may be formulated into vac-cines and/or pharmaceutical compositions for immuniza-tion against M. tuberculosis infection, or may be used for the diagnosis of tuberculosis.

Composés et méthodes permettant de susciter une immunité protectrice contre la tuberculose. Les composés décrits sont notamment des polypeptides contenant au moins une partie immunogène d'une ou de plusieurs protéines de M. tuberculosis et des molécules d'ADN codant ces polypeptides. Ces composés peuvent servir à préparer des vaccins et/ou des produits pharmaceutiques d'immunisation contre l'infection par M. tuberculosis, ou peuvent être utilisés pour le diagnostic de la tuberculose.
