The invention concerns the use of steroids and non-toxic compounds, capable of crossing the blood brain barrier characterised in that they are capable of binding the same site as pregnenolone on proteins constituting or associated with elements of the cytoskeleton and of displacing the MAP-bound pregnenolone, and of influencing the assembling and stabilisation of microtubules. The invention is particularly useful for treating the nervous system, for fighting against ageing of cells containing MAP¿s?, and for treating cancers.
L'invention vise l'utilisation de stéroïdes et de composés non toxiques, capables de passer la barrière hémato-encéphalique caractérisés en ce qu'ils sont capables de lier le même site que la prégnènolone sur les protéines constituantes ou associées aux éléments du cytosquelette et de déplacer la prégnènolone liée à MAP¿2?, ainsi que d'influer sur l'assemblage et la stabilisation des microtubules. Application, notamment, au traitement du système nerveux, pour lutter contre le vieillissement des cellules contenant des MAP¿s?, et pour le traitement de cancers.
