The invention provides compounds useful in inhibiting the activity of a Wip1 protein in a cell as well as prodrugs thereof, related methods of use and compositions which include the aforesaid compounds and prodrugs thereof. The compounds comprise a ring structure having at least five functional groups bonded thereto, wherein each functional group is bonded to a different ring atom, and wherein the at least five functional groups comprise: (a) first (R1) and second (R3) moieties each comprising a phosphate group wherein these first and second moieties are separated by at least one ring atom; (b) first (R2) and second (R4) hydrophobic groups, wherein the first and second hydrophobic groups are separated by at least one ring atom, and wherein the first hydrophobic group is bonded to a ring atom located between the ring atoms to which the first (R1) and second (R2) moieties are bonded; and an amide or carboxylic acid (R5).
L'invention porte sur des composés utiles pour inhiber l'activité d'une protéine Wip1 dans une cellule, ainsi que sur des promédicaments de ceux-ci, sur des procédés d'utilisation apparentés et sur des compositions qui contiennent les composés mentionnés ci-dessus et les promédicaments de ceux-ci. Les composés renferment une structure cyclique présentant au moins cinq groupes fonctionnels liés à celle-ci, chaque groupe fonctionnel étant lié à un atome cyclique différent, et les au moins cinq groupes fonctionnels contenant : (a) des première (R1) et seconde (R3) fractions, chacune contenant un groupe phosphate, ces première et seconde fractions étant séparées par au moins un atome cyclique; (b) des premier (R2) et second (R4) groupes hydrophobes, les premier et second groupes hydrophobes étant séparés par au moins un atome cyclique, et le premier groupe hydrophobe étant lié à un atome cyclique situé entre les atomes cycliques auxquels les première (R1) et seconde (R2) fractions sont liées; et un amide ou un acide carboxylique (R5).
