Process and installation for preparation of medical air from atmospheric air consisting of at least the stages of: a) compression of atmospheric air to a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure; b) purification of the compressed air in at least one of the impurities it contains, by introduction of the said compressed air into a cleaning area consisting of at least one adsorber containing at least one adsorbent material and at least one oxidation catalyst; and c) regeneration of the said at least one adsorbent, characterized by the fact that the adsorbent material is of the activated alumina type and the oxidation catalyst is of the hopcalite type.

Procédé et installation de préparation d'air médical à partir d'air atmosphérique comportant au moins les étapes de : a) compression de l'air atmosphérique à une pression supérieure à la pression atmosphérique, b) purification de l'air comprimé en l'une au moins des impuretés qu'il contient, par introduction dudit air comprimé dans une zone d'épuration comprenant au moins un adsorbeur contenant au moins un matériau adsorbant et au moins un catalyseur d'oxydation, c) régénération dudit au moins un adsorbeur, caractérisé en ce que le matériau adsorbant est de type alumine activée et le catalyseur d'oxydation est de type hopcalite.
