The invention concerns an assembly comprising a mineral wool felt element (3) with compressed tubular shape and at least means for maintaining (5) said felt in compressed state. The maintaining means may be a wire enclosing the felt element on its cylindrical surface. The assembly can be used as housing for thermal insulation of pipes. The invention also concerns a method for producing annular elements, by punching, the starting material being a strip of coated fibrous material, such as moist mineral wool. A punching tool shaped at least like a perforating punch mounted on a press-plate is pressed through the strip then withdrawn again.
L'invention concerne un ensemble comprenant d'une part un élément (3) de feutre de laine minérale de forme tubulaire compressé, et d'autre part au moins un moyen de maintien (5) de l'état de compression dudit feutre. Le moyen de maintien peut être un film entourant l'élément de feutre sur sa surface de forme cylindrique. L'ensemble peut être utilisé comme coquille d'isolation de canalisations. L'invention concerne également une méthode de production d'éléments annulaires, par poinçonnage, le matériau de départ étant une bande de matériau fibreux enduit, tel qu'une laine minérale trempée. Un outil de poinçonnage en forme d'au moins un poinçon de perforation monté sur une plaque de presse est pressé à travers la bande puis retiré à nouveau.
