The invention is a compressible tube fluid flow device useful as a peristaltic pump or a motor. A first embodiment includes an outer cylinder, having a first end, a second end and a side wall, and at least one compressible tube arranged helically therein. Each tube includes a flow entrance portion associated with the first end and a flow exit portion associated with the secondend such that the fluid passes through at least one of the ends, preferably generally axially, and not through the side wall. A second embodiment has a multiple of compressible tubes arranged circumferentially within the outer cylinder. Each tube has a first and second end connected to a flow entrance and exit portion respectively, preferably aligned such that the fluid is directed generally axially. Both embodiments include means for compressing the tube and a rotatable shaft drivingly connected thereto.
L'invention est un dispositif à tube compressible pour faire circuler un fluide, tel qu'une pompe péristaltique ou un moteur. Une première application comprend un cylindre externe ayant un premier bout, un deuxième bout et une paroi, et au moins un tube compressible disposé en spirale à l'intérieur. Chaque tube comporte une partie d'entrée du fluide associée au premier bout et une partie de sortie du fluide associée au deuxième bout de sorte que le fluide passe par au moins l'un des bouts, de préférence dans un sens généralement axial, et non par la paroi. Une deuxième application comprend des tubes multiples disposés en circonférence intérieure du cylindre externe. Chaque tube a un premier et un deuxième bout raccordés respectivement à une partie d'entrée et une partie de sortie du fluide, de préférence alignés de manière que le fluide soit généralement dirigé de façon axiale. Les deux applications comprennent des moyens de comprimer le tube et un arbre rotatif qui lui est raccordé de manière à l'entraîner.
