A compression apparatus (10) is provided that includes a sleeve (12) configured for disposal about a limb. The sleeve includes a first portion (14) defining a first expandable chamber (16) and a second portion (18) defining a second expandable chamber (20) and a third expandable chamber (22). The second portion includes a connector (64) in fluid communication with a pressurized fluid source and the chambers thereby facilitating fluid communication between the pressurized fluid source and the chambers. The first portion is removable from the second portion. The first portion may be connected to the second portion via a perforated attachment. The sleeve may define at least one ventilation opening (46, 50). The connector can communicate with the chambers via a tubular pathway. The sleeve may be convertible from a length extending from below a knee to above the knee, to a length extending solely below the knee.
L'invention porte sur un appareil de compression (10) comprenant un manchon (12) configuré pour être disposé autour d'un membre. Ce manchon comprend une première partie (14) définissant une première chambre extensible (16) et une seconde partie (18) définissant une deuxième chambre extensible (20) et une troisième chambre extensible (22). La seconde partie comprend un connecteur (64) en communication fluidique avec une source de fluide pressurisée (30) et les chambres, ce qui permet de faciliter la communication fluidique entre la source fluidique pressurisée et les chambres. La première partie peut être ôtée de la seconde partie. La première partie peut être connectée à la seconde partie au moyen d'une fixation perforée. Ce manchon peut définir au moins une ouverture d'aération (46, 50). Le connecteur peut communiquer avec les chambres au moyen d'un passage tubulaire. Ce manchon peut être converti d'une longueur qui s'étend au-dessous d'un genou jusqu'au-dessus du genou, en une longueur qui s'étend seulement au-dessous du genou
