ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A crimping device can be used to compress a metal sleeve member on a hydraulic hose in order to connect the two. The device can include four link members, three left jaw members, and there right jaw members, each of the members having a crimping edge on one side thereof. Two pivot pivot pins connect the left jaw members to one end of the link members and the right jaw members to the other end. In one operating position of the device, the crimping edges extend around and face a common centre point so as to form a passageway to accommodate the sleeve member. Sub- stantially equal portions of the circumference of the passageway are subtended by the crimping edges of the link members, left jaw members, and right jaw members. Lever arms are connected to the jaw members so as to pivot them relative to the link members. The jaw members are moved uniformly towards each other by means of a partially threaded rotatable shaft mounted in bushings in the lever arms. :
