Forming a tubular workpiece (19) by applying fluid pressure (21) to the interior of the workpiece (19) and enclosing the pressurized workpiece (19) in a die (11, 12) that has a die cavity (18). A portion or the whole of the die cavity (18) has its internal periphery smaller than the external periphery of the workpiece (19). This subjects the workpiece (19) to compressive forming.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour former une pièce (19) tubulaire en appliquant une pression (21) fluidique à l'intérieur de la pièce (19) et en emprisonnant la pièce (19) ainsi pressée dans une matrice (11, 12) dotée d'une cavité (18).
