Disclosed is a system and method for assisting in verifying that the right medication is efficiently provided to the right patient, in the right dose, at the right time, and via the right route. The system may be employed for administering an infusion order (702) including a first administration, a medication, and a flow rate. The system includes first, second, and third computers. First computer is designed to receive data identifying the order (702). Second computer provides instructions for preparing the first administration and provides a first schedule for preparation of additional administrations if additional administrations are included in the order. Third computer provides instructions for the first administration and provides an initiation signal indicating the initiation of the first administration to the patient. Third computer also provides a flow rate modification signal. The modification signal causes the system to determine whether to generate a second schedule. The second computer provides the second schedule.
La présente invention concerne un système et une méthode qui facilitent la vérification effectuée afin de déterminer si le bon médicament est administré de manière efficace au bon patient, selon la bonne posologie, au bon moment et par la bonne voie. Le système peut être utilisé pour administrer un ordre (702) de perfusion comprenant une première administration, un médicament et un débit. Le système comprend des premier, deuxième et troisième ordinateurs. Le premier ordinateur est prévu pour recevoir des données d'identification de l'ordre (702). Le deuxième ordinateur fournit des instructions qui permettent de préparer la première administration et utilise un premier plan de préparation d'autres administrations si d'autres administrations sont inclues dans l'ordre.
