ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An arrangement for facilitating communication between first and second processor units each having an input/output port includes a logic circuit operatively coupled by respec- tive single communication lines to first and second processor unit input/output ports, for receiving and generating signals in an ordered sequence to thereby facilitate communication between the processor units. First and second switching amplifiers are provided, a respective switching amplifier being coupled by a respective single communication line to a respective one of the processor unit input/output ports. Both switching amplifiers are also coupled to the logic circuit. Each switching amplifier receives respective signals from the logic circuit and, in response thereto, transmits signals generated by the logic circuit to a respec- tive one of the processor unit input/output ports.
