A technique for reliably changing a setting according to the usage environment to always ensure a high-security network connection environment. A PC judges the usage environment of the PC by searching for the BD addresses of nearby devices via Bluetooth and, depending on the usage environment, automatically changes the security level setting. Even when the PC is in a usage environment in which the security level should be ~home~ or ~office~ but any devices that should be in that usage environment are not detected during usage environment judgment processing, the level is set to the ~mobile~ security level at which high security is ensured.

La présente invention concerne une technique qui permet de changer un paramètre en toute sécurité en fonction de l'environnement d'utilisation afin d'assurer en permanence un environnement de connexion au réseau à haute sécurité. Un ordinateur personnel (PC) estime l'environnement d'utilisation du PC et pour ce faire, recherche les adresses BD de dispositifs voisins au moyen de Bluetooth et, en fonction de l'environnement d'utilisation, change automatiquement le réglage du niveau de sécurité.
