IMPROVED COMPUTER CONTROLLED DISPLAY SYSTEM Abstract of the Disclosure A computer controlled large area display system comprises a plurality of arrays of pixel elements, the pixel elements switchable between first and second states in response to row and column control signals. The plural- ity of arrays of pixel elements are coupled via a serial interface. The display system further comprises a control computer for outputting display data, and decoder means coupled to the control computer via a serial interface, the decoder means for converting the display data to the row and column control signals.
