COMPUTER-CONTROLLED SWITCHING DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A computer-controlled switching device for controlling power circuit breakers, such as contactors, motor-safety switches, or the like, controlling equipment or installations in which the computer is connected through analog-digital converters, to at least one sensor monitoring the current consumption of the unit to be monitored, i.e., a motor transformer or the like, which calculates the characteristics according to a specific model and releases switching command signals whenever specific predetermined values are exceeded or not reached. The device is characterized in that the sensor or sensors responding to the magnetic field of the line or lines running to the unit to be monitored, the analog-digital converter or converters, the computer in the form of a micro-processor, the adjusting elements connected thereto and accepting comparison values and other characteristics, and a switching element controlled by the output from the computer, together with connecting terminals and, if necessary, a power-supply unit or a voltage-source, are combined, into one component. This component, and the housing thereof comprises lead openings to monitor the lines running to the unit or the like. The sensors are in the form of Hall generators, for example, arranged in the vicinity of the lines.
