The invention relates to a computer network with data or communications end systems which are connected to a data network in order to process data at locations that are spatially remote from one another. Said end systems each comprise an end system identifier which is assigned to the respective data end system. The end system identifier can be transmitted from the data end system to another data end system via the data network, whereby a generator for a location identifier is provided in a data network line unit for the data end system, or a transmission unit for such a location identifier is permanently connected to an external generator in an interactive manner. In addition, at least the generator is permanently connected to the installation site of the data end system. The location identifier can only be transmitted from the data network line unit either to or in a direction of the at least one data end system connected to said data network line unit. A receiver for the location identifier is provided in the data end system, and the location identifier between the data line unit and the terminal unit can be transmitted on a common data path with additional data of the data network.
L'invention concerne un réseau informatique comportant des systèmes terminaux de données et de communications qui sont connectés à un réseau de données dans le but de traiter des données en des lieux spatialement éloignés les uns des autres. Lesdits systèmes terminaux comportent respectivement un identificateur de système terminal associé au système terminal de données respectif. Cet identificateur de système terminal peut être transmis du système terminal de données à un autre système terminal de données par l'intermédiaire du réseau de données, et un transmetteur destiné à un identificateur de localisation est disposé dans une unité de connexion du réseau de données destinée au système terminal de données, ou bien une unité de transmission destinée à un tel identificateur de localisation coopère en permanence avec un transmetteur externe. En outre, au moins le transmetteur est connecté en permanence avec le site d'implantation du système terminal de données. L'identificateur de localisation peut être transmis depuis l'unité de connexion du réseau de données uniquement à destination ou en direction du ou des systèmes terminaux de données reliés à ladite unité de connexion du réseau de données. Un récepteur destiné à l'identificateur de localisation est disposé dans le système terminal de données, et l'identificateur de localisation peut être transmis entre l'unité de connexion de données et le terminal, sur un chemin de données commun, avec d'autres données du réseau de données.
