A computer program that automatically creates call routing data files for setting up call routing a new telecommunications switch (10) or for adding a new MSA to an existing switch. The computer program broadly comprises a code segment for receiving NPAs and NXXs for an area such as an MSA; a code segment for receiving information differentiating local calls from long distance calls for at least some of the NPAs and the NXXs in the area; and a code segment for analyzing the NPAs, the NXXs, and the information differentiating local calls from long distance calls and for automatically creating at least some of the call routing for calls originating in the area.
L'invention concerne un programme informatique conçu pour créer automatiquement des fichiers de données d'acheminement d'appels afin de mettre en oeuvre l'acheminement d'appels dans un nouveau commutateur de télécommunication (10), ou d'ajouter une nouvelle zone statistique métropolitaine (MSA) au commutateur existant. Le programme informatique comprend, pour l'essentiel, un segment de code permettant de recevoir des indicatifs régionaux et des numéros de série pour une zone, telle qu'une MSA; un segment de code permettant de recevoir des informations dissociant les appels locaux des appels longue distance pour au moins certains indicatifs régionaux et certains numéros de série dans la zone; et un segment de code qui permet d'analyser les indicatifs régionaux et les numéros de série, ainsi que les informations dissociant les appels locaux des appels longue distance, et de mettre en oeuvre automatiquement au moins une partie de l'acheminement d'appels pour des appels provenant de l'intérieur de la zone.
