A smaller size computer must make the same size memory available and have reduced power consumption. Accordingly, the computer disclosed replaces the working memory and the main memory with at least one nonvolatile erasable semiconductor memory (NAND EEprom) and with a controller that controls the data transfer between the central processing unit, cache memory and the semiconductor memory.
