A secure computer work station is provided which has a desk top with a front, top, bottom, front and rear edges and first and second sides. The confluence between the rear edge and the side edges may be angled so that adjacent desks abutted along the angled portions are perpendicular to one another. The desk top has an aperture therein. A hood is releasably secured to the desk top so that the hood extends above the desk aperture. The hood has an opening facing the front of the desk and the opening is sufficiently large to permit an observer to view a screen of a computer monitor. The opening may have a glass window. A tray is secured to the bottom of the desk so that the tray is beneath the desk aperture. The tray has means to retain the computer monitor and to angle the computer monitor so that the monitor screen is at an acute angle to the vertical. The hood and tray form a cavity which is sufficiently large to securely house at least the computer monitor, and preferably a CPU. A computer keyboard may be securely fastened to the desk top, adjacent to the front edge of the desk. The tray may have a ledge which extends under the keyboard in order to prevent access to the keyboard from beneath the desk. The hood may have a disk drive or CD drive therein.
