Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a computing scale system with integrated circuit microcomputer for computing value and controlling a label printer. The four bit microcomputer is provided with multiplexing networks for receiving weight, price and status information. Photosensors read a moveable chart that responds to platter weight. A parity check is performed on the chart Gray code weight data. The system can print labels having several formats. Selectable price and weight dead zone capa- bility and motion detection with a variable setting time are provided. -1-
