The present invention is directed to conantokin peptides, conantokin peptide derivatives and conantokin peptide chimeras, referred to collectively as conantokins, having 10-30 amino acids, including preferably two or more .gamma.-carboxyglutamic acid residues. The conantokins are useful for the treatment of neurologic and psychiatric disorders, such as anticonvulsant agents, neuroprotective agents or analgesic agents.
La présente invention se rapporte à des peptides de type conantokine, à des dérivés de peptides conantokines, et à des chimères de peptides conantokines, désignés collectivement sous le terme de conantokines, qui comportent de 10 à 30 acides aminés et contiennent de préférence au moins deux restes d'acide .gamma.-carboxyglutamique. Ces conantokines s'avèrent utiles s'agissant du traitement de troubles psychiques et neurologiques, et sont utilisées notamment en tant qu'agents anticonvulsifs, neuroprotecteurs et analgésiques.
