Disclosed is a concentrate useful as an additive in a polyester composition comprising a polyolefin and a polyfunctional carboxylic acid or polyol branching agent. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a polyester composition having increased melt viscosity and melt strength and improved impact strength which comprises the stops of: A) melt compounding a polyolefin and a polyfunctional carboxylic acid or polyol branching agent, B) dry blending the molt compounded mixture formed in A) with a polyester, and C) molding or extruding the dry blended mixture formed into B) to form an article.
L'invention concerne un concentré utile en tant qu'additif dans une composition polyester comprenant une polyoléfine, un acide carboxylique polyfonctionnel ou un agent de ramification polyhydrique. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de préparation d'une composition polyester présentant une viscosité fondue, une résistance à la fusion et au choc supérieures. Ledit procédé se décompose en trois phases: A) mélangeage par fusion d'une polyoléfine, d'un acide carboxylique ou d'un agent de ramification polyhydrique, B) mélange à sec du mélange produit dans A) avec un polyester, et C) moulage ou extrusion du mélange obtenu dans B) de manière à former un article.
