ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Concentration of dilute aqueous mixtures of natural aromas, particularly roasted coffee aroma?, is effectively accom- plished by membrane permeation methods. The addition of a con- trolled amount of solids to the liquid-aromatic feed stream re- stricts the diffusion of the volatile aromatics through the semi- permeable membrane to effect a substantially aromatic-free dif- fusate and makes possible aroma recovery in the form of stable, high quality aromatic concentrates.
